With the idea to explore collective memory in places that have seen conflict, we decided to visit Preetnagar, a village in Punjab along the border between India & Pakistan. This area in Punjab is rich in stories from the time of partition, the ’65 & ’71 wars & the terrorism in ’84 and the consequence of these events on the people of Punjab.
